Question by Greg J: How often will a psychiatrist prescribe something like Xanax on the first visit?
I’m not looking to abuse it, before that gets said. I simply know that it is something that works. I just really do not want to have to go through several sessions before he gives me something that will take a month to work less effectively than Xanax.
Would it be bad to make something up like I get panic attacks on airplanes? I do not get panic attacks that often, but it just seems that saying something like that might work.

If you are not experiencing panic attacks, what do you need the Xanax for? It will not do anything to treat depression.
